Subotica-based multi-instrumentalist and composer Jasna Jovićević carries out her ideas and talents in various fields. Besides her performing career, she lectured at numerous institutions in Serbia and abroad, currently working at the Preschool Teacher and Sport Coach Training College of Applied Studies in Subotica. She also teaches yoga and runs the non-governmental organization ARTRUST, with many exciting projects behind her. Jasna released her first solo album Invented Reality in 2008 (jazz quartet + string trio), continuing to change the environment and style for each new release. Her “main” opus so far includes the experimental solo album The Sound of Birds/Zvuk ptica (2014), improv duo Dharma with Armando Mesaroš (2015), concert recording of the big band New Spark Jazz Orchestra (2017), studio LP Flow Vertical (sextet, 2018), concert album of the Jovićević/Miklós/Wójcinski trio Informal Shapes (2019), and Sounding Solitude (2021), with four strings. She took part in the interdisciplinary project I Sit and Take Care of Her, and made music for the dance performance Imago Sonus. Sylvester Miklós, Ksawery Wójciński and Jasna are experienced in various forms of contemporary jazz and improvisation and create fresh, original music full of freedom. They got together previously in Novi Sad in 2018, when they recorded their only album so far.
